Why use a Power Analyser?
Single phase and three phase power analysing wattmeters allow simultaneous capture of many electrical measurements during testing. Using one set of V and A connections, an impressive list of measurements can be saved in seconds. Three phase power analysing wattmeters are important when accurate watts measurement is necessary for certification and traceability. In addition to active power (watts), reactive power (VAr), apparent power (VA), voltage rms (Vrms), current rms (Arms), power factor (PF), can all be viewed at the same time. All Powertek wattmeters simply connect between the ac supply and the load, various current probes and shunt options allow measurement with all levels of current amplitude. Typical three phase wattmeter applications include appliance testing like standby power compliance (Energystar), motors, generators, electric stoves, heating, air conditioning, pumps, fans, electronic lighting and variable frequency motor controllers . All our power analysers are equipped with safety terminals (4mm/banana) along with optional "breakout" boxes and clamp probes for fast and safe measurement.
